Kigali: share your hotel entrance before leaving arrivals.
Landing at Kigali International Airport means pulling up your hotel address before you walk out of arrivals. The airport company points passengers to taxi ranks just outside the arrival gate, so confirm your destination and the fare with the driver first.
If you're meeting family or a contact in Kigali, send them the venue entrance and your contact's name. Save a screenshot of the booking alongside the live map, so you can still show the address if the signal disappears.

Volcanoes National Park: check where you need to report.
Volcanoes National Park is reached through Musanze, the town closest to the park's entry points. Before you travel, get the operator to confirm the activity booking, the reporting point and the pickup time. A room reservation and an activity booking are two different things to track.
Save the instructions before the drive and agree the return pickup with your guide. Signal in the forest and on the mountain can vary, and while data helps with arrangements, it's no substitute for what your guide tells you.

Lake Kivu: pick the town first, then the meeting point.
Lake Kivu has several lakeside towns, including Rubavu and Karongi. Check which town your booking names before asking for a transfer, because 'Lake Kivu' alone doesn't tell a driver where your hotel is.
If you book a lakeside outing, confirm the starting point and return details with the operator while you're online. Save your accommodation pin separately from the activity pin. These plans only cover Rwanda, so staying by the lake doesn't mean coverage across the border.
